The Raise Foundation, in its role as Orange County’s Child Abuse Prevention Council, holds Prevent Child Abuse Network (PCAN) trainings quarterly to keep the community updated on the latest trends and best practices.
The next training will occur during Child Abuse Prevention Month at South Orange County (SOC) Family Resource Center (22481 Aspan Street, Lake Forest, CA 92630) on Friday, April 27, 2018.
Laura Perez, a representative from the County of Orange, will be presenting from 12-2 pm on Child Abuse Reporting for any provider who can attend.
According to Raise Foundation staff member Reylena Lopez, MSW, “Reporting suspected child abuse is a community effort, and it is important for all members of our community who interact with children to be aware of how to report it.”
The April 27 training will cover how to report, the county’s process for reporting, and the various forms of child abuse. Spaces are limited so if you are interested in attending this upcoming training, please CLICK HERE to register.
