The Raise Foundation is seeking a Part-Time Child Care Worker.  The Child Care Worker will be responsible for providing child care for children of parents attending FRC programs and completing required documentation; provide activities including, but not limited to, arts and crafts, playing with building blocks and play dough, and educational games such as counting, sorting, color recognition, and puzzles; ensure the health and safety of the children are maintained at all times; set up and clean up designated areas; taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency; report any incidents that impact the health and safety of a child immediately to the FRC Coordinator; maintain confidentiality of clients; maintain a positive attitude; and work effectively with parents, staff, and volunteers.

Hours:  Will vary between 10-16 hours per week

Pay:  $12/hour

Location:  CHEC Family Resource Center

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of child care experience, including experience working with infants
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Proficient in English
  • Must be willing to submit and pass a fingerprint scan, CPR certification, and background check.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

The Raise Foundation’s Southern Region Health Access Team is seeking a Full-Time 40 hour a week Community Health Advocate.  The Community Health Advocate is responsible for raising awareness of health and educational issues by providing in-home visits, outreach, and educational classes throughout the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Computer literacy is required. Specifically experience utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including positive face-to-face and telephone interaction skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform general administrative duties
  • At least 2 years of experience working in the community
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Valid California Drivers license
  • Work schedule may periodically include some Saturday and evening hours

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with South Orange County geographical area
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Some college education in the Human Services field
