One of the risk factors that can lead to child abuse and neglect is when families don’t have the right nutrition or enough food to sustain them. That’s why The Raise Foundation, with the help of caring volunteers, holds two food distributions each month (some of which include family bonding activities) – one in Costa Mesa and the other in Anaheim. You can volunteer as an individual or with a group of co-workers, friends, and/or with family. You’re caring heart will feel the impact!
The Costa Mesa site is in collaboration with Hoag Hospital and occurs usually the 1st Saturday of every month outside the Costa Mesa Family Resource Center (FRC).
The Anaheim site is in collaboration with Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim outside its newly renovated Clubhouse located at the Manzanita Community Park. It takes place usually the fourth Saturday each month. Most being in early afternoon. Those who sign up to help will receive a confirmation email with all the details.
A special thank you goes out to the Junior League of Orange County, Roosters Club members, Eagle Community Credit Union staff, and the many individuals for their volunteer assistance with past distributions.
More volunteers are needed to help for future Food Distributions with preparing bags of healthy food and leading children in fun craft activities.
Due the limited space, we ask that all interested volunteers register using the forms below.
