Pinwheels for Prevention is a nationwide public awareness campaign that puts a new spin on prevention. The campaign uses community activities and public policies to prioritize prevention right from the start, making sure child abuse and neglect never occur. “Pinwheel gardens” planted in communities across the nation are visual reminders that we all play a role in ensuring happy and healthy.
This year, nearly 32 Pinwheel Gardens were “planted” throughout Orange County. They could be found outside of Churches, Schools, Family Resource Centers, OC Sheriff Department Stations and Substations, OC Fire Authority Stations, County of Orange Social Services Agency Buildings, Museums and at the various Family Fun Events that took place across the county.
