Blind Xpress recalls Window Blinds.

About 139,000 custom vertical and 315,000 horizontal blinds have been recalled after the strangulation and death of a 2-year-old girl from Commerce Township, Michigan in 2009.  The little girl got caught on the looped adjustment cord which is not attached to the wall or floor.

Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) urges consumers to discontinue use of these blinds and contact the Window Covering Safety Council to receive a free repair kit.

 

IDM Group Recalls CareBears Pacifier

About 119,000 CareBears Pacifiers have been recalled because the nipples can separate from the base and presents a choking hazard.  CPSC recommends that parents contact IDM Group LLC for instructions on returning the product for a refund.

 

 

 

 

Summer Infant Recalls Baby Bathers

2 million Mother’s Touch/Deluxe Baby Bathers have been recalled in the US and 65,000 more in Canada.  The faulty folding wire frame may cause the baby to fall out of the bather, posing fall hazards and potential head injuries.  There have been seven reports of such incidents in the US, five of which resulted in serious head injuries.

The Model Numbers for the recalled baby bathers are: 08020, 08050, 08054, 08070, 08401, 08409, 08404, 08405, 08650, 08655, 08659, 08754, 08940, 08944, 18004, 18040, 18049, 18050, 18120, 18125, 18129, 18254, 18360, 18375, 18379, 18390, 18394, 18440, 18445, 18449, 18470, 18475, 18479, 38510, 38515, 38750, 38755

CPSC suggest that parents should stop using these baby bathers and contact Summer Infant for a free repair kit.

 

Meijer Recalls Bicycles

About 68,000 bicycles have been recalled due to fall hazards resulting from pedals detaching or coming loose.  These loose pedals have resulted in 16 minor injuries.  The recalled models include the Huffy, Iron Horse, Mongoose, Northwoods, Pacific, Razor and Schwinn bicycles.  Meijer offers a complete list of faulty models at http://www4.meijer.com/recall/bikebooklet.pdf.

 

 

Tractor Supply Company Recalls Traveller Recreational Tubes

Tractor Supply Company has recalled about 10,900 inflatable recreational tubes after 21 reports of consumers receiving severe skin irritation or burns during use.  The model number is 1026192 and the product number is 11.00r22.  CPSC recommends consumers immediately stop use and return it to any Tractor Supply Store for a refund.
