Young Professionals Board
Young Professionals Needed
In addition to our Board of Directors, the Raise Foundation has a very active young professionals board at that meets once a month to exchange ideas on ways in which you can help the Raise Foundation achieve its mission. This dynamic group of professionals collaborates throughout the year, and for some, it leads to opportunities on the Raise Foundation’s Board of Directors. Members of the Young Professionals Board represent a variety of professional backgrounds and industries, and enjoy discussing how they can support one another’s professional and personal goals.
The Raise Foundation is actively recruiting young professionals (mid 20’s to late 30’s) to serve on its Young Professionals Board (YPB). The main project they undertake is planning our Annual Spring Soirée fundraiser which raises significant funds needed to help sustain the Foundation’s services and programs. The Board also plans basic needs drives (like Sweaters, Socks, Shoes), volunteers at food distributions, co-hosts the annual Volunteer Recruitment Mixer (planned for each January), helps with the meaningful holiday adopt-a-family project, and serves as Raise Awareness Ambassadors to educate other young professionals about the prevention of child abuse and neglect. The Board’s newest effort is to mentor teens on the Youth Action Councils (YAC) at two Family Resource Centers.
Each member’s participation is based on their availability. If you live or work in Orange County or a neighboring county, and would like to get involved, please let us know.
